Medical Assistant Suburban Healthcare associates Plainfield, IL Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications Vital signs Customer service Supervising experience Documentation review Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Deliver an excellent patient experience by way of exemplary patient focus and customer service skills Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or mid-level provider Assist physician and mid-level providers in exam rooms Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient chart Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or mid-level provider Administer injections as defined and directed by the provider Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in the patients' medical records prior to their appointment Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and mid-level providers Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, medications, etc.) Register patients for patient portal Initiate and complete prior authorizations for medications Organize, track, order and stock medical supplies Cleaning duties as directed by management, following standard OSHA and practice policies and protocols Effectively and safely use various pieces of equipment (autoclave, light box, etc.) Maintain HIPAA compliance Front office- make appointments and check in.
