Job Description
Please note: Unfortunately, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) cannot be considered for this position. Please do not apply if you have CNA as your highest certification. We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who has worked in a pediatric practice for a position within a pediatric medical practice located in the (Dekalb/Sycamore) area. Certification is highly preferred; however, you could be eligible for position if you are able to sit for the exam and have past pediatric medical practice experience. The work days of the week will be determined upon hire and can be discussed at the time of an interview. Your schedule will be consistent week to week. Weekends are not required at this time but may be included in the future. The office is closed all major holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas) so you may spend time with your loved ones. Hours per week are approximately 20-25. The primary duties of this position are listed below. These may include, but are not limited to: Scheduling appointments Front desk duties (check in/out of appointments, etc) Well child and sick care, within a primary care office setting Administration of vaccines or other injections as needed Medication administration Documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will have a passion for pediatric care and the care of the families we serve. A positive, can-do attitude is a must and the ability to attend to the demands of a busy office environment is highly necessary. Pediatric experience is required. A comfort level with both an electronic health record and Microsoft Office products are needed to succeed in this position.
