Job Description

Suburban Dermatology is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, personable and enthusiastic Medical Assistant to work in our high volume office. We need a team-player who is detail oriented, dependable, organized and able to multi-task. Ability to understand and respond to written documents in the English language is a MUST.
Job Duties Include:
Patient intake: Room patients, verify histories, update medications, and record skin specific concerns in the EHR system
Clinical Scribing:
Document diagnoses, treatment plans, and pathology details accurately in real time during patient examinations
Surgical Assistance:
Prep surgical trays, maintain sterile fields, and assist the physician during biopsies, excisions, injections, and cosmetic procedures.
Behind the scenes support:
Cleaning and stocking exam rooms, getting medication prior authorizations, charting in patient charts to get them ready for provider finalization.
Specimen Management:
Label and package biopsy specimens, complete lab requisitions, and track external pathology reports
Patient Communication:
Deliver pathology or lab results over the phone, provide wound care and treatment instructions, and process prescription refills.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification:
CMA,CCMA, or RMA required/ graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of clinical medical assistant experience; dermatology or surgical specialty experience is a strong asset. We are willing to train flexible, eager to learn, experienced personnel.
EHR Proficiency :
Practical experience navigating Electronic Health Record systems (EMA, would be especially helpful)
Clinical Skills :
Mastery of sterile techniques, suture removal, and standard infection control protocols. • Please include 3 professional references when applying.
Job Type:
Part-time, but some full time weeks. Summary As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and administrative support within a healthcare setting.
