Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms with accuracy and professionalism Assist healthcare providers with dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine procedures such as phlebotomy, intramuscular injections, medication administration, and intravenous access. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and medical documentation with precision to ensure compliance and seamless information flow Support patient care by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring all supplies are stocked and organized Conduct patient education on medications, treatments, and follow-up care while maintaining excellent patient service standards Assist with clinical procedures including anatomy-based assessments, physiology evaluations, and vital signs monitoring Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate outpatient services, inpatient transitions, and emergency responses in high-acuity environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers when applicable Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required from an accredited program Proven experience in medical office settings with strong knowledge of medical terminology and records management Hands-on experience in urgent care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine environments preferred Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools Knowledge of pharmacology principles, medication administration protocols, and basic life support (BLS) certification required Familiarity with phlebotomy techniques, X-ray procedures, and medical-surgical practices highly desirable Strong patient service skills with excellent communication abilities and a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients Join us to be part of a vibrant healthcare community dedicated to delivering exceptional urgent care services.
