Job Description
Job Summary A healthcare services organization in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant who enjoys supporting both clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced patient care setting. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient care, help maintain accurate medical records, support smooth clinic workflow, and deliver excellent service to patients. This opportunity offers a professional environment with teamwork, supportive leadership, and the potential for long-term career growth through a temp-to-hire path. Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, document medical histories, and gather chief complaints.
- Assist providers with exams, treatments, minor procedures, injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and phlebotomy as assigned.
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control standards.
- Update electronic medical records, verify patient information, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, handle calls, and support follow-up communications.
- Process referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, check-in, check-out, and payment processing as needed. Compensation and Benefits

$15.00 to $16.00 per hour.Job Type:
