Increase the access to health care for Louisiana's medically underserved and uninsured families. Make significant contributions to creating healthy communities through advocacy and other initiatives. Strengthen current programs and expand into new locations and services. Promote a community environment filled with hope, dignity and mutual respect. Develop collaborative partnerships with governmental agencies and community organizations to enhance access to all services in Louisiana. Provide health care services in areas with health professional shortages. Provide pediatric and adult primary medical care, dental care and behavioral health care to the medically underserved and uninsured families of Louisiana. Provide allied health care educational programs as well as preventive health care educational programs. Our Objectives Establish Community Health Centers. Establish Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC). Develop "New Access Points" for health care services in Louisiana. Establish strong community collaboration and cooperation to address community identified needs. Develop an identified network of resources. Expand existing health care services to include medical, dental and mental health. Develop prevention education programs within the healthcare centers.

• Job Overview:

• We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in delivering quality patient care and assisting healthcare providers in a clinical setting.

• Responsibilities:

• Perform patient intake procedures, including measuring vital signs and documenting medical histories.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications under the direction of a physician.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests as needed.
• Provide medical administrative support, including returning patient phone calls, filling prescriptions and maintaining patient records.
• Ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulations for patient care.
• Uphold a high standard of patient service and professionalism.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in basic life support techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and coding practices.
• Experience in medication administration and dosage calculations.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
• Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is required.

Requirements:

Must have active certification Must have 1-2 years prior experience in a Pediatric medical office or healthcare setting strongly required.
