The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, whether in a clinic, Level I or II Trauma Center, or hospital setting. The Medical Assistant will support healthcare professionals by performing administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in various settings including outpatient clinics and emergency medicine. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and assisting with physical exams. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure efficient operations within the clinic or hospital environment. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures as needed. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments effectively. Familiarity with internal medicine practices and emergency medicine protocols is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in high-stress situations typical of Level I or II Trauma Centers. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
