Health Express Urgent Care | Hanover, MA Help Build Hanover's Newest Urgent Care! | Approximately 30 Hours/Week Be Part of Something New. Health Express Urgent Care is growing, and we're looking for an energetic, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at our brand-new Hanover, MA location . This is more than just another Medical Assistant position. As one of the first faces our patients see, you'll play an important role in creating an exceptional patient experience while helping establish the culture of our newest urgent care center. We're a locally owned, physician-led practice that believes healthcare should be personal, compassionate, and efficient. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both clinical patient care and front desk responsibilities and is excited to wear multiple hats as part of a close-knit team. Approximately 30 hours per week. What You'll Do No two days are the same in urgent care! You'll divide your time between clinical responsibilities and front desk operations to help ensure our patients receive outstanding care from the moment they walk through our doors. Clinical Responsibilities Welcome, triage, and room patients Obtain vital signs and accurately document patient history, medications, allergies, pharmacy information, and chief complaint in the electronic medical record Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during visits and procedures Perform clinical duties including: Phlebotomy Injections and immunizations Urine testing Rapid testing and specimen collection (COVID-19, Influenza, Strep, Mono, etc.) EKGs Splint application and wound care assistance Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms Maintain clinical supplies and assist with additional duties as needed Front Desk Responsibilities Greet patients with professionalism and a friendly attitude Register patients and verify insurance eligibility Collect copays and patient payments Scan and upload medical documents Answer phones and assist patients with scheduling and general questions Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance Assist with keeping the front office organized and running efficiently What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Loves helping people and creating a positive patient experience Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Is comfortable balancing both clinical and administrative responsibilities Provides exceptional customer service with every patient interaction Communicates professionally and effectively with patients and coworkers Remains calm and organized during busy clinic hours Is dependable, flexible, and willing to jump in wherever needed Takes initiative and has a positive, "can-do" attitude Is detail-oriented while maintaining efficiency and accuracy Works independently while contributing to a collaborative team Is excited to help grow a brand-new practice and make a lasting impact in the Hanover community Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or equivalent experience) Medical Assistant experience is preferred but not required. We welcome newly certified Medical Assistants who are eager to learn, grow their clinical skill set, and build a career in urgent care. Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care experience is a plus Experience with phlebotomy and injections is preferred, but we're happy to train motivated candidates who are excited to expand their skills CPR certification preferred Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) or willing to learn Who Will Thrive Here Whether you're an experienced Medical Assistant or just starting your career, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for helping others. Expected shifts include:
Monday-Friday:
8:30 AM - 6:30
PM Saturday & Sunday:
8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Weekend availability and participation in a rotating holiday schedule are required.
