We are growing, and we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us. The opportunity This is a full-time paraoptometric assistant position designed as a genuine career path, not a static job. You will start by mastering the clinical data-gathering that supports every patient visit, and over your first year to eighteen months you will grow into specialty imaging, contact lens patient training, and a myopia-education role — with the practice supporting the certifications that make that progression possible. For the right person, there is a longer-term path toward vision therapy work as well. No eye care experience is required; we will train the right person. We will support your certifications. We actively support your path to becoming a Certified Myopia Navigator and, over time, a Certified Paraoptometric (CPO). You do not need these credentials to start — you need the aptitude and the drive to earn them. Compensation $18.50-$28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and certification. New team members without eyecare experience start at the entry of the range and earn scheduled increases as they master our clinical workflows and complete certifications. Experienced candidates — including those with prior paraoptometric, ophthalmic-tech, or specialty-contact-lens backgrounds — enter higher in the range to match what they already bring. Certified Myopia Navigator and CPO credentials carry additional pay increases and one-time completion bonuses. What you'll do Your responsibilities will grow in phases as you build competency: From the start — clinical data capture Take patient histories and chief complaints Perform visual acuity testing, auto-refraction, stereo testing, and pupillometry Capture axial length measurements on the IOLMaster for our myopia patients As you grow — specialty imaging & contact lens support Capture corneal topography and retinal imaging Administer standardized RightEye eye-tracking assessments Order, verify, and manage contact lens trials and inventory With certification — patient education & training Teach patients contact lens insertion, removal, and care Deliver the education portion of myopia-control consultations as a Certified Myopia Navigator Assist at ortho-K and soft contact lens fitting and dispense visits Over time — broader practice support Support vision therapy sessions and room preparation Assist with our pediatric optical, spectacle verification, and dispensing Help keep our instruments maintained and our patient recall running smoothly

Pay:

$18.50 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 36.0 per week
