Job Summary The Administrative Assistant assists the Clinical Department with office tasks that include sorting, filing and creation of files, special events calendars and other clerical tasks. Additional duties include travelling to programs to collect behavioral data, serving as a resource to staff in programs in area of Client Clinical needs. The Administrative Assistant supports the Family Supports program in directly working in Special Olympics practices and qualifiers. The Administrative Assistant may also be required to work directly in agency programs if need arises.
Essential Functions:
- Collect and organize behavioral data sheets on a weekly basis
- Provide support and training to program staff with a focus on ensuring that they are aware of behavioral programming and appropriately supporting program members and correctly documenting data collected
- Assist with Emergency procedures using PABC techniques in crisis situations
- Provide direct support to the agency's programs on the floor and remote locations as needed
- Assist the Director of Clinical and Family Supports in quarterly Human Rights Committee meetings.
- Produce the monthly Human Rights newsletter.
- Run Special Olympics practices and attend tournaments and qualifiers
- Ensure all needed paper work by Special Olympics participants is current.
- Provide Direct Care to program members in any needed area ( i.
e toileting) Minimum Competencies Must be able to intervene in crisis situations with the use of physical restraint tactics as taught by this Agency and mandated by State and Federal Agencies. To effectively communicate any concerns to Supervisor in a timely and professional manner Must always exhibit conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm and focused. Ability to position self to assist with individual's physical needs, including transfers, lifts, and the use of gait belts, etc. Ability to use a computer or other electronic device to access agency email and complete job duties. To adopt and follow the Agency peer philosophy. To successfully obtain all necessary training as required. Training may include, but is not limited to: Defensive Driving, Agency Orientation, Safety Plan & Evacuation, Human Rights, Ethics, CPR & First Aid, PABC, etc. Responsible for additional duties as assigned to follow the mission of the Center of Hope Foundation To adhere to all Agency policies
Pay:
From $19.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
