5 days/week Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Weymouth, MA 02189. This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire assignment and a great opportunity to start working with a leading healthcare organization.

Duties:

Support patient flow throughout the Colonoscopy unit and assist with patient turnover in the recovery room.

Monitor patients in the recovery room and obtain vital signs as required.

Prepare patients for examinations and procedures and assist with medical tests.

Perform room turnover and maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support efficient patient care and maintain accurate patient records.

Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree in Medical Assisting or completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program preferred.

License(s): None required

Certification(s): Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification and BLS certification.

Years of experience: 3+ years of clinical experience, including at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.

Skills/Specialties/Technology:

Strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, teamwork, basic computer literacy, intermediate Excel skills, EMR/healthcare software, and medical terminology.
