Liberty Pediatrics & Family Medicine is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care by supporting our providers, ensuring efficient clinical operations, and creating a positive experience for every patient. This position requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while caring for patients of all ages. Employment Type Full-Time (32-40+ hours per week) Must be available to work within office hours, including occasional Saturdays. Must have reliable transportation Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating patient records. Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by providers. Perform point-of-care testing and collect laboratory specimens. Prepare, label, and process laboratory samples according to office protocols. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (athenaOne). Review provider schedules and prepare patient charts prior to appointments. Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and follow-up instructions. Clean, stock, and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment. Maintain appropriate inventory of medical supplies and notify management when supplies are low. Adhere to infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and all office safety policies. Respond professionally to patient questions and concerns while maintaining confidentiality. Collaborate with providers, nurses, front desk staff, and call center personnel to ensure efficient patient care. Assist with additional clinical duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent). Previous experience in a pediatric, family medicine, or primary care setting preferred. CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Experience with electronic medical records preferred (athenaOne experience is a plus). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong clinical and patient care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Comfortable working with patients of all ages, from infants to adults. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
