Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team floating between our Clarkston and Farming Hills offices as a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant, where your energy and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while supporting clinical operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth daily workflows in a fast-paced medical environment, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all patients and staff. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits to optimize clinic operations. Collect patient vital signs, document medical histories, and assist with basic clinical tasks. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all medical supplies are stocked and organized. Support medical documentation by accurately recording patient encounters, updating medical records. Assist healthcare providers with procedures. Handle administrative duties including answering phones, managing patient inquiries, verifying insurance information, and maintaining confidentiality of medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and medical administrative support. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and compassionately. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy in documentation and patient interactions.
