In this role, you'll play a vital part in both the clinical and administrative operations of our office, supporting our providers and ensuring an excellent patient experience. What You'll Do As a Medical Assistant, you'll be involved in a wide range of responsibilities, including: Rooming patients and preparing them for exams Taking and documenting vital signs (weight, height, BP, pulse, respirations, SpO2, temperature) Verifying drug allergies and updating patient demographics and preferred pharmacy in our electronic prescribing system Performing skin prick allergy testing under provider supervision Assisting with in-office food and drug challenges , as well as venom testing Administering various injections (including vaccines, allergy immunotherapy, and biologic treatments for asthma, chronic hives, and other allergic conditions) Responding to and helping manage anaphylactic reactions, including retrieving emergency supplies, taking vitals, drawing epinephrine, and ensuring prompt provider evaluation Conducting spirometry testing for patients with asthma, COPD, and reactive airway diseases What We're Looking For Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (preferred but not required) Experience in a clinical setting, allergy/immunology experience is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented mindset Comfortable with technology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems Why Join Us?
