Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting medical office operations, and assisting with clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients, particularly pediatric patients, and possess strong communication skills. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the needs of our practice, whether part-time or full-time. Responsibilities Assist with medical assisting duties, including taking vital signs for pediatric patients and administering vaccines or injections. Utilize EMR/EHR systems efficiently; willingness to learn new software is preferred. Provide excellent patient service by checking insurance information, answering calls, and scheduling appointments. Support clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and other specimen collection procedures. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with all patients, ensuring comfort and trust during visits. Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and clinical notes in electronic records. Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth clinic operations and patient flow. Experience At least two years of experience working directly with patients in a medical office setting. Prior experience working with pediatric patients is highly preferred. Knowledge of how to administer vaccines or injections is required. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems or a strong willingness to learn is necessary. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently, especially for pediatric patients. Excellent manners and communication skills when interacting with patients and staff.
