Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff by providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Epic training will be helpful. Downriver candidate will be preferred. Must have successfuly completed a Medical Assistant training program. Newly graduated Medical Assistant are welcome to apply. No prior experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories. Maintain accurate patient records, including coding and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations within the clinic setting. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Skills Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology. Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to various specialties. Familiarity with coding practices for accurate billing and documentation. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
