HOSPITAL
is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical providers and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and clerical support while working collaboratively with providers, nurses, and clinic leadership. The role may involve working with patients across various age groups, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Key Responsibilities Manage and support patient flow throughout the clinic. Perform standard patient rooming and clinical intake processes. Assist providers with patient care and treatment. Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by the provider. Collect and process laboratory specimens as required. Perform phlebotomy and clinic laboratory testing when applicable. Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between patients and providers. Assist with prescription refill requests. Support prior authorization activities. Perform front-desk/check-in duties as needed. Order, organize, and maintain clinical supplies. Perform X-ray duties when qualified and authorized. Communicate patient concerns, questions, progress, and other issues to the healthcare team. Follow applicable Minnesota scope-of-practice requirements and clinic protocols. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization , such as ABHES or
CAAHEP. OR
graduate of an accredited Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program through a recognized national healthcare organization, such as American Medical Technologists, with required on-the-job experience and successful RMA certification examination. Current BLS certification - required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment. Preferred Skills Clinical rooming and patient intake experience. Phlebotomy and specimen collection. Immunizations and injections. Clinic laboratory testing. Electronic medical records (EMR) experience. Prior authorization and prescription refill experience. Front-desk and patient communication experience. Schedule 4 × 10-hour shifts with Tuesdays off Days | No weekends | No call #
