Job Description

About Us The Health and Wellness Center is a patient-focused wellness clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our community. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Assistant to join our growing clinical team. Job Description We are looking for a proactive Medical Assistant to support our providers and ensure our clinic runs smoothly. In this role, you will be responsible for both clinical and administrative tasks, from preparing patients for exams to managing electronic health records. The ideal candidate has a steady hand for phlebotomy and injections, a strong understanding of patient privacy, and a warm bedside manner.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties:
Prepare patients for examinations, record accurate medical histories, and take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.).
Phlebotomy & Injections:
Safely and efficiently perform blood draws and administer intramuscular (IM) injections as directed by the provider.
EHR Management:
Accurately chart patient data, update medical histories, and manage lab results using our Electronic Health Records (Practice Fusion) system.
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times. Keep exam rooms sanitized and fully stocked.
Body Contouring:
Complete training courses to learn body sculpting and perform contouring services.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
Core Skills:
Strong proficiency in phlebotomy and administering IM injections is required.
Tech Literacy:
Hands-on experience navigating and updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Deep understanding of HIPAA guidelines and clinical safety protocols.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant on-site experience (Certified Medical Assistant preferred)
Interpersonal:
Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a patient-first mentality. Schedule 25 to 30 hours per week.
