RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the RN/LPN to ensure standards of care are met Obtain patient records and coordinate daily patient tasks Assist nursing staff during patient care and ADL's Feeding patients and documenting their PO intake Obtain and record patient vitals, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality Coordinate daily tasks for transportation. Check patients in and out of facility Escort patients on facility transportation and driving daily Prepare treatment rooms and student classrooms for clinical examinations and assist nursing staff with patient care Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Clean rooms, bed linens, etc Stock supplies Assist with loading and unloading the patients on and off medical transportation

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Each CMA employed by Pediatric Haven should have the following: 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting providing care to infants and/or children who are medically and technologically dependent Must have current certification /medical license Current CPR certification and Basic First Aid Must be able to lift 50 pounds Current TB skin test Background check
