Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and hospitals. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management Conduct basic life support as needed and maintain CPR certification Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care Support dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine practices by preparing patients for examinations Assist in X-ray procedures and other diagnostic tests as required Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Requirements Proven experience in a medical assistant role or relevant clinical experience in hospital or outpatient settings Knowledge of ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations within Level I or Level II trauma centers Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and care coordination Basic life support certification required; advanced certifications are a plus (e.g., PICU or OR experience) A compassionate approach to geriatrics and medical-surgical patients Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, but not required Join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care while advancing your career in the healthcare field.
