Weeks Job Duties:

Perform patient rooming and intake, including collecting vital signs, height, weight, and information related to the patient's reason for visit. Collect patient and family medical and social history. Review current medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy. Assist providers during treatments, examinations, and procedures. Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy. Administer medications under the direction of a provider. Perform tests such as EKGs and eye exams under provider direction. Review patient records for routine health screenings. Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms. Assist with patient registration, check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, tests, treatments, and referrals. Answer clinic telephone calls and assist with in-basket activities under provider or nurse direction. Provide patients with after-visit, follow-up, self-care, and procedural instructions as directed. Assist in emergency situations as directed by a provider or nurse. Assist with preventive health measures and clinic quality or safety activities.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Certified Medical Assistant. Recent OB/GYN experience. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work positively with patients and families. Ability to work effectively with staff and providers as part of a team. Ability to use a computer and document required information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Medical Assistant Certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA/CCMA, NAHP/NRCMA, or

NCCT/NCMA.

Current BLS Certification from (AHA) or (ARC). EMR experience

Schedule:

Monday - Friday Day Shift 40 hours/week

HC Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
