Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments across outpatient and inpatient settings. Take and record vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and prepare patients for exams or procedures. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, diagnoses (ICD coding), medications, and treatment plans. Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance information, updating medical records, and answering patient inquiries with professionalism. Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with infection control protocols. Assist with medication administration under supervision and support emergency procedures in urgent or trauma situations. Coordinate with hospital teams for inpatient care, including PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) or Level I/II trauma center experiences when applicable. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure all records are accurate, complete, and securely stored in accordance with privacy regulations. Skills Proven experience in medical office management and medical administrative support within outpatient or hospital environments. Strong knowledge of dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, and medical-surgical practices. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient electronic health records management. Ability to perform phlebotomy and basic life support (BLS) procedures confidently. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical terminology to accurately document care activities. Experience supporting hospital medicine units such as PICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable.
