Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant - Dermatology Clinic Job description: We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant to join our busy dermatology practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys learning, and values teamwork. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas are maintained in compliance with safety standards. Preparation of biopsy site(s) and support providers during procedures. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Conduct patient intake processes, including verifying insurance information and updating medical histories in compliance with privacy regulations. Ensures appropriate follow-up communications and disposition of care. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Maintains OSHA and HIPAA Compliance at all times. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures and aftercare instructions clearly, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred; relevant experience will also be considered. Willing to train the right candidate. Exceptional computer and technology skills. Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential for success in this role. Approximately 36 hours a week with early dismissal on Friday's. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
