Certified Medical Assistant- Cardiology Quality Staffing Specialists - 4.3 Raleigh, NC Job Details Full-time | Contract $22 - $23 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Pediatrics Medical assisting Working with adult populations Certified Medical Assistant Geriatrics Full Job Description Cardiology Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Position Summary A Cardiology Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides clinical and administrative support to cardiologists and healthcare teams specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases. The CMA assists with patient care, diagnostic testing, documentation, and office operations while ensuring excellent patient service and compliance with healthcare regulations. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, oxygen saturation, and temperature. Collect and document patient medical history, current symptoms, medications, and allergies. Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs) and prepare patients for cardiovascular diagnostic testing. Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures. Prepare and administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed by the provider and within scope of practice. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures. Conduct laboratory specimen collection and processing when required. Provide patient education regarding cardiac conditions, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care. Administrative Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments, procedures, testing, and referrals. Maintain accurate records in

Verify insurance information and obtain prior authorizations as needed. Process prescription refill requests according to provider protocols. Manage incoming phone calls and patient communications.
