Job Description
Position Purpose The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides clinical and administrative support to the OBGYN provider, assisting with patient care, room preparation, vital signs, documentation, and other duties necessary to support efficient clinic operations and quality patient care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Attendance during normal work hours is an essential function of the job to ensure work goals are met and customers are served. Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Triage patient Escorts patients to the exam room, and prepare the patient for exam Obtains patient history and chief complaint Obtain lab specimens, give injections, and perform routine medical tests Provide patient education Call in prescription per PA/FNP/MD orders Performs light housekeeping chores Maintains adequate inventory of medication supplies Place pharmacy orders Assist in assuring goals and objectives are met Receives telephone calls, answering inquiries, and/or refers questions to appropriate staff members Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
