Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant Journeys in Mental Health & Wellness | Wendell, NC Journeys in Mental Health & Wellness is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and dependable Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing team. Bilingual Spanish/English is required. About Journeys in Mental Health & Wellness Journeys in Mental Health & Wellness is a well-established mental health and substance use treatment practice serving patients in our community. Our services include mental health care, counseling, medication management, substance use treatment, and on-site laboratory services. We serve individuals with a variety of mental health and behavioral health needs, including ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, substance use disorders, and other conditions. We believe in creating a patient-centered, family-focused environment where patients and their loved ones feel supported, respected, and involved in the care process. Our goal is to help meet the unmet behavioral health needs of our community and improve outcomes for the individuals and families we serve. Position Responsibilities Clinical and administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Escort patients to and from provider rooms. Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs in the EHR. Update medication and allergy lists in the EHR. Process prescription refill requests. Communicate with patients, pharmacies, physician offices, and other healthcare providers as needed. Process medication prior authorizations. Obtain and follow up on medical records and laboratory results. Assist with referrals and referral coordination. Maintain medication samples, including checking expiration dates. Maintain medication coupons and related resources. Maintain and organize patient education materials. Provide compassionate, professional support to patients throughout their visit. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies. Assist the clinical team with other duties as needed. What We're Looking For Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Bilingual in English and Spanish . High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification/registration required. At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Professional, positive, and compassionate demeanor. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Successful completion of a background check required.

Pay:

Starting at $17.00/hour , based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule Full-Time:
