Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in patient care, medical documentation, and administrative tasks within a clinical setting. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and compassionate patient services. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing clinical duties, managing electronic medical records, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with medical assisting tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting physicians during procedures. Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples accurately and safely. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR) by updating patient information, documenting medical histories, and ensuring data accuracy. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Support medical office operations through administrative tasks such as maintaining medical documentation and organizing patient files. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols throughout all clinical activities. Requirements Proven experience in medical assisting within a healthcare setting. On the job training and on boarding. Assist with procedures and fluoroscopy in pain management Proficiency in using EMR/EHR and computer systems for documentation and record management. Strong knowledge of clinical procedures including taking vital signs and performing phlebotomy preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Prior experience in a medical office environment is preferred. 1-2 years Experience. Certification in Medical Assisting or relevant healthcare training is advantageous but not mandatory. Reliable transportation and the ability to work at both our Wilson and Rocky Mount offices Handle patient calls, prescription requests and follow-up coordination Help keep exam rooms, supplies and procedure trays stocked and ready Join our team to contribute to quality patient care while developing your skills in a supportive healthcare environment! Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
