Job Description

FT MEDICAL ASSISTANT
with experience in high end cosmetic dermatology practice in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Must have knowledge of EMR (Modmed/ EMA), Microsoft Excel, Quick Books, credit card terminal. Must have at least 5 years of experience in an aesthetic or dermatology practice and excellent customer service skills. (Do not apply unless you have min. 5 yrs experience)
RESPONSIBLITIES
Greets, checks-in, and triages patients as they arrive. Assists in patient correspondence via phone and email. Documents medical history through electronic medical record system (Modernizing Medicine/EMA). Assists providers with cosmetic, dermatological, and laser procedural set-ups. Prepares patients for procedures by obtaining consent forms, baseline photographs, and applying topical anesthetics. Experienced with or willing to train on set-up and use of energy based skin tightening, body contouring, microneedling and laser devices. Schedules patients on electronic software, and assists with patient check-out process. Manages inventory of medical and office supplies. Assists reception personnel with patient communications over email and social media. Available Monday through Friday, half-day Saturdays (once a month).
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with electronic medical records required. Patient care experience required. Adaptability, flexibility, and multi-tasking capacity strongly required. Excellent hospitality, customer service, and verbal communication skills required. Excellent written communication skills required. IT proficiency expected in completely computerized office. Microsoft Excel and credit card transaction facilitation experience preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred. BLS Certification preferred. Medical coding and terminology familiarity preferred. Minimum High School/GED education required, college education preferred.

Mon- Thurs 8:45- 5pm; Fri 9-1pm; Sat 9-1pm (once a month)
