Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support clinical operations by assisting with patient care, managing medical documentation, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows. Your expertise will contribute to delivering top-quality care to patients with complex hypertension and kidney conditions across various clinical settings. Duties Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with physical assessments. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures. Assist physicians during procedures, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine cases. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical history, and treatment plans. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating patient intake processes. Maintain medical records with precision, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and accurate ICD coding for diagnoses. Facilitate patient service by providing compassionate care, answering questions, and guiding patients through their treatment journey. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology relevant to internal medicine and geriatrics. Experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management. Skilled in phlebotomy techniques and medication administration procedures. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and attention to detail. Ability to perform vital signs collection, intake procedures, and basic diagnostic tasks efficiently. Knowledge of ICD coding standards for accurate medical documentation and billing processes.
