In this role, you will support our providers with both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless clinic operations and an outstanding patient experience from check-in through follow-up.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Support:
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits Record vital signs, health histories, chief complaints, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and efficiently Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, and administer medications/immunizations per clinical protocols Educate patients on chronic disease management, preventive care, medication use, and discharge instructions Maintain clinic inventory, calibrate equipment, and adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
Administrative & Patient Experience:
Greet patients, verify demographics, confirm insurance, and process copays Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage prior authorizations Triage phone calls, respond to patient portal messages, and communicate with labs/pharmacies Support clinic compliance, audit readiness, and quality reporting initiatives Qualifications Must have: Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training/experience Current BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire) [1+] years of clinical experience in primary care or outpatient setting preferred Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, eClinicalWorks, etc.) Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency required. Exceptional customer service etiquette.
Preferred:
Experience with outpatient procedures (EKG, spirometry, ABIs, allergy testing) Strong typing skills and medical vocabulary Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience
Pay:
$18.50 per hour
