Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), where your skills will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. Your expertise in clinical procedures, medical documentation, and patient service will help create a seamless experience for patients and providers alike. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures to ensure optimal patient care. Support medical office management by maintaining accurate medical records, ICD coding, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Conduct patient assessments related to dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, or emergency medicine settings; assist in procedures within hospital or Level I Trauma Center environments. Facilitate communication between patients and providers through clear medical documentation and effective patient service techniques. Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and administrative support to streamline clinic operations. Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate data entry and management of electronic health records (EHR), ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program; prior experience in medical office or hospital settings preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical records management. Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; ability to adapt quickly to new technologies. Inpatient experience in hospital medicine or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable; Level I Trauma Center or PICU experience is a plus. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately across diverse populations. Knowledge of dermatology procedures, internal medicine protocols, geriatrics care practices, and surgical assisting is advantageous. $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
