Position Overview:

We are seeking a certified medical assistant to join our ketamine department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping individuals on their mental health journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule initial evaluation assessment with provider Handle patient intake documentation and enter to software/EMR. Take and process patient treatment payments Communicate effectively with patients and have full control of their treatment schedule in medical software Administer ketamine treatments under the supervision of licensed medical professionals and collaborate with MD's and APN's. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall well-being during treatment sessions Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and equipment to required cleandliness level. Provide education and support to patients regarding treatment protocols Ensure accurate documentation of patient records and treatment progress Uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance in all procedures Maintain cleanliness of suite, treatment rooms and workstation Ability to obtain Prior Authorizations with insurance company as-needed. Communicate with pharmacy and ensure receipt of orders and timely delivery. Maintain IV pumps and BP machines. Make sure they are in working order. Make sure medication is stocked and doesn't run low. Complete accompanying documentation and scan to charts. Prepare charts in advance of next day's treatments. Cross-training on TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) Answer inbound phone calls and assist patients. Offer information/answer questions about Ketamine/Spravato. Check e-mail and voicemails and respond timely. Call insurance companies or search on-line for patient insurance benefits.

Qualifications:

Current certification as a Medical Assistant CMA Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care BLS certification Mature and professional demeanor Must be prompt, on-time for shift and prepared to work and value consistent attendance. Must present with a neat appearance and take job seriously.
