We are seeking a dedicated and energetic traveling Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will provide hands-on patient care and clinical support in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Montclair, NJ; Secaucus, NJ; Butler, NJ;
Wayne, NJ Employment Type:
We are currently hiring for full-time, part-time, and per diem positions, with flexibility based on office needs and candidate availability.
Responsibilities:
Assist providers with patient intake, including medical history and vital signs (BP, pulse, respiration, temperature) Prepare patients for exams and procedures while ensuring comfort and understanding Perform blood draws (phlebotomy certification required ) Assist with in-office procedures and basic clinical tasks Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems Support clinical workflows including specimen collection and treatment preparation Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment Ensure proper infection control and sterilization protocols Provide excellent patient service and communication Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies Support front desk operations when needed Must be able to work at least TWO or MORE of our locations
Schedule Requirements:
Applicants should be available during the following hours of operation: Monday•
Thursday:
9:00 AM•8:00
PM Friday:
9:00 AM•5:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM•2:00 PM (Saturdays are mandatory 2x a month)
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred (outpatient, urgent care, or clinic setting) Phlebotomy experience
REQUIRED IV
experience strongly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus Strong understanding of basic anatomy and physiology BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Excellent communication and patient service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus
