About Us Desert Cardiology & Vascular Center (DCVC) is a Henderson-based cardiology practice dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate cardiovascular care to our community. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our clinical team and help us deliver an outstanding patient experience every day. Position Summary As a Medical Assistant at DCVC, you will work directly alongside our providers, supporting patients from check-in through their visit. This is a hands-on clinical role that combines direct patient care, cardiac diagnostic support, and clinical documentation in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs (height, weight, pulse, oxygen level, blood pressure), and document findings in EHR Perform EKGs for new and established patients and prepare charts for provider review Review and update patient medication lists and chief complaints prior to provider visits Support cardiac diagnostic procedures, including EECP setup, MCOT/EPatch enrollment, and Medtronic pacemaker checks Assist providers with in-office procedures such as RFA and Varithena, plus general testing support Send prescriptions, submit prior authorizations, and manage superbills on behalf of providers Handle patient calls, voicemails, and messages/tasks in Practice Fusion Fax office notes to referring physicians and complete scanning/uploading as needed Assist with paperwork such as
FMLA, DMV
placard requests, disability forms, and surgical clearances Maintain a clean, fully stocked exam room and help manage clinical inventory Provide scribing support to providers as requested Any other clinic related tasks mentioned by the management What We're Looking For Current Medical Assistant certification/training Working knowledge of Basic Life Support and CPR (BLS/CPR) Experience with EHR systems (Practice Fusion experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and comfort multitasking in a busy clinical setting A warm, patient-first attitude and excellent communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with providers and fellow
Medical Assistants Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
