Role:
Colon Rectal Associates of Central New York is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our specialized clinical team in Camillus, NY. Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately in the EMR Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and supply stocking Administer injections, collect specimens, collect blood, and perform basic clinical tasks as directed Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively between front and back office Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and procedure prep instructions Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred Prior clinical or medical office experience strongly preferred Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Strong phlebotomy and vital signs skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced specialty practice environment Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a reliable team player
