We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy pediatric healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support our providers in delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced office setting. •This is a great opportunity for students or individuals pursuing a career in the medical field!•
Office Hours:
Monday-Thursday:
9:15 AM•7:00
PM Friday:
9:15 AM•3:00
PM Saturday:
9:15 AM•2:00 PM (on a rotating basis) Hours will fall within this schedule. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Prepare patients for well visits and sick visits, including routine screenings and in-house lab tests (e.g., flu, strep, COVID) Take and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature) and document patient history Perform diagnostic testing such as EKGs and spirometry when ordered Clean, stock, and maintain examination rooms to ensure readiness throughout the day Accurately document visits and procedures using our pediatric-friendly electronic medical record (EMR) system (Office Practicum) This role also includes administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling appointments
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior clinical experience preferred Familiarity with EMR systems preferred Strong communication and multitasking skills Must be proficient with computers, organized, and able to work efficiently in a busy office Must work well independently and as part of a team Join our team to make a difference in patient care while advancing your career in the medical field.
