Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Pathologists' Assistant! Are you passionate about making a real impact in the medical field? This exciting position offers you the chance to work closely with experienced pathologists and lead in the preparation and examination of surgical specimens that change lives.

$40.70- $61.05 per hour, depending on experience
What You'll Do:
In this dynamic role, you will: Showcase your expertise by performing precise gross examinations and dissections of surgical specimens, ensuring every detail is captured. Assist the team with the daily operations of the gross room, keeping the workflow smooth and efficient. Ensure excellence by following NYSDOH, CAP, and CDC standards to provide top-notch care and compliance. Collaborate and innovate with pathologists and other clinical professionals to deliver timely, accurate specimen analyses that make a difference. Stay organized and efficient by maintaining accurate records, managing tools, and aiding the technical staff to ensure that the lab is always stocked with the supplies you need.Position Qualifications Required:
A Bachelor's Degree in Biology or a related science with at least three years of supervised on-the-job training OR A degree from an NCCLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant training program. NYS License as aPathologists' Assistant Preferred Certifications:
ASCP Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant [PA(ASCP)CM]. Additional certifications like Certified Histological Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician, or Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist are a bonus!Why You'll Love Working Here:
