School-Based Healthcare | Grades K-12 Position Overview Our client is seeking a Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a school-based healthcare setting serving K-12 students. This is a great opportunity for a certified Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children and adolescents and wants a consistent weekday schedule. This is a temp-to-hire position with the potential for long-term employment and benefits upon permanent hire. Responsibilities Support healthcare providers with student examinations, treatments, and routine clinical procedures. Record vital signs, patient histories, and screening results, including vision and hearing. Perform and document basic laboratory testing, EKGs, spirometry, and other procedures within your training and scope. Collect and process specimens while maintaining accurate EMR documentation. Help coordinate student appointments, registration, and check-in/check-out. Assist with English/Spanish communication for students and families. Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and follow patient privacy and safety standards. Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills. High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current CPR/BLS certification. At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience. Familiarity with EMR systems and Microsoft Office. Pediatric, adolescent, or school-based healthcare experience is a plus.
