POSITION OVERVIEW

Cross Valley Health & Medicine, Р.C. Cross Valley Health & Medicine is an independently owned multi-speciality internal and addiction medicine practice to New York State residents over the age of 18. We are seeking an eccentric certified medical assistant to work closely with our practitioners. The applicant will assist our practitioners in delivering daily high quality health care to our patients at our Newburgh office. The desirable certified medical assistant must also have a high attention to detail. We are a growing practice, and we would like you to grow with us!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with our family nurse practitioner and other clinical staff in a teamwork environment -Prepares patient charts for practitioners -Maintains patient flow and completes practitioner orders within their scope Ensures that assigned medical documentation is addressed and properly filed Addresses assigned correspondence via fax, mail, or electronic messages Stocks exam rooms prior to each encounter and maintains a clean environment in the examınation rooms. Collects, tracks, and handles laboratory specimens Maintains and calibrates medical equipment Assists in the orientation of new clinical personnel as requested by management Perform vitals, EKG and other basic medical procedures as ordered by practitioners Scheduling patient appointments, checking patients in and out and generating referrals as ordered by practitioners

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Minimum High School Graduate or Equivalent Licensure:

None required

Experience:

Minimum Experience is preferred 1 year of related medical assisting experience.

Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (will train)

Language:

Bilingual in

Spanish Other:

Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
