Skinfocused Dermatology is seeking an exceptional Medical Assistant to join our physician-led boutique dermatology practice in Rye, New York. We are looking for someone who is more than simply capable of completing assigned tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, polished, warm with patients, highly organized, and naturally proactive —someone who takes pride in staying one step ahead and helping the physician's day run smoothly. Previous experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, aesthetics, or another specialty medical practice is strongly preferred, but we are equally interested in finding the right person: intelligent, motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. What You'll Do Assist our physicians during medical and cosmetic dermatology visits and procedures Prepare exam and procedure rooms, instruments, supplies, and medications as appropriate Anticipate what will be needed for upcoming patients and procedures Help keep physicians on schedule and patient flow running smoothly Obtain patient histories and accurately document and scribe relevant information Provide clear, professional communication and patient education Assist with clinical photography, including standardized before-and-after photographs Clean, stock, and reset rooms between patients Monitor supplies and identify what needs to be replenished before it runs out Communicate closely with physicians, nurses, aestheticians, and front-office staff Help create the warm, efficient, high-touch experience our patients expect Who We're Looking For You may be an excellent fit if you are: Exceptionally reliable and punctual Professional, articulate, and comfortable communicating with patients Detail-oriented and highly organized Able to multitask without becoming flustered Observant and proactive—you notice what needs to be done without always being asked Comfortable working in a fast-paced physician practice Interested in dermatology, skincare, and aesthetic medicine Able to receive feedback and quickly incorporate it A collaborative team member who is willing to help wherever needed Experience Medical assisting or specialty medical-office experience preferred Dermatology, plastic surgery, cosmetic medicine, or surgical experience is a plus Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required for an otherwise exceptional candidate About Skinfocused Skinfocused Dermatology is a boutique medical and cosmetic dermatology practice in Rye, NY.
