Medical Assistant / Front Desk Pincus Plastic Surgery | Smithtown, New York Pincus Plastic Surgery is seeking a polished, dependable Medical Assistant / Front Desk professional to join our growing team. This role combines direct clinical support with front desk responsibilities and is ideal for someone who values patient care, organization, professionalism, and an elevated aesthetic environment.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Prepare and room patients for consultations, treatments, and procedures. Obtain medical histories, document patient information, and maintain accurate electronic medical records. Review preoperative and postoperative instructions with patients. Assist during consultations, in office procedures, and operating room preparation as needed. Maintain treatment rooms, instruments, supplies, and standardized clinical photography. Help ensure a smooth, comfortable, and professional patient experience throughout each visit.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
Answer a multi line phone system with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule consultations, surgeries, procedures, and follow up appointments. Welcome patients, manage check in and check out, collect required documentation, and process payments. Coordinate daily appointment flow and communicate closely with clinical staff. Maintain a polished, organized reception area and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certification or awaiting one required. Previous experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, cosmetic medicine, or another elevated medical setting strongly preferred. Experience using electronic medical records preferred. Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and patient service skills. Professional appearance, strong attention to detail, and an appreciation for aesthetics. Reliable, positive, discreet, and able to perform well in a fast paced environment.
Schedule & Compensation:
Part Time or Full Time Competitive compensation based on experience.
