Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in various medical settings, including dermatology, urgent care, and internal medicine. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently.

THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION

looking for 3-4 days a week 24-32 hours per week with the hours of 10am-6pm Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation Conduct basic life support procedures when necessary Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information Schedule appointments and coordinate patient services within the clinic or hospital setting Prepare patients for X-rays or other diagnostic tests as needed Support outpatient and inpatient care by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Qualifications Previous experience in a medical setting (clinic, hospital, or urgent care) is preferred Knowledge of ICD coding and medical terminology is essential Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient management Understanding of basic anatomy and physiology concepts Experience in emergency medicine or trauma centers is a plus (Level I or Level II) Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics (PICU experience is beneficial) Strong communication skills to provide excellent patient service Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required Experience in surgical settings (OR experience) is advantageous A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations Spanish speaking a ++++ Join our team to make a difference in the lives of our patients while advancing your career in the medical field.
