Job Description

You will work with a team of compassionate and skilled Physicians, APPs, and support staff who are passionate about providing the highest quality care to our patients. The position is for the following day(s) and hour(s) Monday from 12:00 PM to 08:00 PM Tuesday from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM Thursday from 01:00 PM to 08:00 PM Our primary care office is looking for a part-time Medical Assistant who is able to multitask and be a team player. Available to start right away.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care including rooming patients
  • Prepare patients for office visit by taking vital signs, medical histories including reconciliation of medications
  • Perform routine laboratory tests as directed by the physician.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, follow up on test results and coordinate patient referrals.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies.
  • Assist Physicians and APPs in giving patients the best care and experience overall
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as MA required
  • EKG experience required
  • Proficient in taking vital signs required
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred (will train)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills with ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual a plus
