Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a podiatry focused setting. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Assist the provider in documentation Assist and prepare in specimen collection Perform intake assessments, including obtaining vital signs and medical histories Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort Conduct charting on EHR and Assist with the management of clinic operations, including appointment scheduling Assist with the management of in office surgical procedures Experience Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas: Small practice, or outpatient clinic experience Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge a plus Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses a plus Experience with X-ray procedures or operating room (OR) assistance is a plus Background in Podiatry is advantageous Ability to work fast pace individually and with a team Proficiency in computer technology and EHR experience for charting a must Experience with ModMed a plus We are looking for individuals who are passionate about patient care and eager to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team.
