Responsibilities Prepare examination rooms and assist podiatrists during patient consultations and procedures Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Collect comprehensive patient histories and perform initial intake assessments to facilitate accurate diagnosis Support medical documentation by updating electronic health record (EHR) systems with detailed notes on patient encounters Assist with basic medical procedures such as wound care, medication administration, and X-ray positioning under supervision Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating follow-up care Ensure adherence to safety protocols by monitoring infection control practices and maintaining clinical cleanliness Qualifications Prior clinic experience in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience in dermatology, internal medicine, or geriatrics is highly valued Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medication administration procedures Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and data management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent healthcare provider training required Experience working within hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) is a plus Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations Ability to perform X-ray procedures or assist with emergency medicine tasks is advantageous Demonstrated understanding of medical-surgical practices and familiarity with hospital medicine protocols This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their clinical expertise while supporting high-quality patient care.
