Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient service. You will play a key role in managing medical records, assisting with clinical procedures, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in medical documentation, patient care, and office management will make a meaningful difference. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists accurately during patient intake Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications, and taking vital signs Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures Manage medical documentation including progress notes, ICD coding for diagnoses, and detailed medical records in compliance with privacy regulations Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals while maintaining an organized clinic calendar Support hospital medicine or outpatient care settings by assisting with patient transfers, inpatient documentation, or emergency procedures as needed Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office environment Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools Experience medication administration, and medical assisting techniques preferred Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
