Medical Assistant / Clinical Assistant (Full-Time) Southwoods Health Specialty Practice | Howland, OH About Us At Southwoods Health, it's not just about the treatment, but how you're treated. We are hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant / Clinical Assistant for our Specialty Office in Howland, Ohio. This role provides critical clinical support, coordinates specialized patient care, and manages clinical workflows to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00
PM Location:
Howland, OH Essential Duties:
Clinical Support:
Room patients, measure vital signs, record medications/allergies, and collect or process specialized laboratory specimens.
Patient Coordination:
Schedule procedures and surgeries, coordinate with surgical/specialty vendors, and manage physician block times.
Administrative Excellence:
Manage electronic medical records (EMR), secure specialty insurance authorizations, and resolve patient eligibility issues.
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all OSHA and Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
1+ years of experience directly related to hands-on patient care.
Backgrounds Welcomed:
Prior experience as an STNA, CNA, Phlebotomist, or Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable.
Education:
Formal Medical Assistant schooling is a plus, but not required if equivalent clinical experience is met.
