Medical Administrative Assistant (Administrative Only)

Primary Duties:

Greets and checks in patients.

Answers multi-line phones and schedules appointments.

Verifies insurance and patient demographic information.

Maintains electronic medical records and patient documentation.

Scans, files, and processes medical paperwork.

Collects patient payments and issues receipts as needed.

Coordinates patient scheduling and provider calendars.

Performs general office and clerical duties.

No direct patient care or clinical responsibilities.

Position 2: Medical Administrative Assistant /

Clinical SupportPrimary Duties:

Performs all front office administrative duties, including patient check-in, scheduling, phones, record maintenance, and general clerical tasks.

Escorts patients to examination rooms.

Obtains and documents patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, oxygen saturation, etc.) under the supervision of the clinic's licensed medical provider.

Prepares and sanitizes examination rooms between patients.

Stocks examination rooms and maintains clinical supplies.

Assists with patient flow throughout the clinic.

Follows HIPAA, infection control, and clinic safety protocols.

Does not administer medications, perform injections, draw blood, diagnose, treat, or perform invasive patient care.
