This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new clinic and help shape a growing practice from day one. As a startup entering the Tulsa market, we're looking for someone who is excited to help build our reputation, processes, and excellent patient experience from the ground up. Job Overview Medical Assistants help patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Other duties include securing medical records, maintaining supplies, and performing preventative maintenance as required. Responsibilities and Duties Administer oral and/or injectable medications Assist patients with insurance forms and claims Assist providers with exams and procedures Call/fax/eRX prescriptions to pharmacies Check patients in and out, verifying demographic and insurance information at each visit and collecting copays as needed Clean and maintain instruments and medical equipment Collect data about previous medical history from patients Collect specimens for lab tests Document proper in electronic medical records Manage medical records Manage specialty referrals Measure patient vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, and temperature), height and weight Perform in-office lab draws Assist to perform specialized testing and in-office procedures Provide patient education as directed by the doctor or other provider Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including follow-up visits and check-out scheduling before patients leave Schedule surgeries and diagnostic procedures Stock exam rooms Other MA tasks as assigned Qualifications Excellent phlebotomy skills are a must High School required, associate degree in a medical field preferred 2+ Years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital High level of professionalism, strong customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills MA Certificate of Program Completion Preferred Ivy Fertility is an equal opportunity employer.
