Medical Assistant (MA) -
Women's Health Private Practice Practice:
Lake Oswego GYN Location:
Lake Oswego, OR Position Type:
Full-time, Four (4) days per week
Compensation:
$23-28 per hour (commensurate with experience) About Us We are a small, patient-centered private gynecology practice committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and high-quality healthcare to women through every stage of life. Our small, collaborative team prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for our patients. We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Medical Assistant to join our practice. Position Summary The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in ensuring efficient daily clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our providers to assist with clinical visits and procedures, help with patient communication, and maintain a smooth-running clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care:
Prepare patients for examinations, take and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
Clinical Assistance:
Assist providers with routine gynecological exams and in-office procedures such as colposcopy, biopsies, and hysteroscopy.
Specimen Handling:
Collect, label, and process lab specimens accurately, ensuring proper handling and transport protocols.
Phlebotomy:
phlebotomy skills for in-office blood draws are preferred but we can also train you on this.
Clinical Administration:
Assist with patient scheduling, prep examination rooms, sterilize instruments.
Communication:
Assist with patient inquiries via phone and patient portal, relay lab results as directed by providers, and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions.
Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and clinic safety protocols. Qualifications & Requirements Graduate of high school or GED CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA certification required CPR/BLS certification required. Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience required. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills. High level of empathy, professionalism, and discretion. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
